My imagination is quite active and I have a lot of Works In Progress floating around my head. I’ll use this page to keep you up to date on the titles I am actively working on. I’ll try to keep this to the top three. Oh – there are more. Many more on my jump drive and in my head.
This page will be limited to the stories I’m truly making progress on.
WIP-1
(Title is a secret)
I can’t say much about this one because the storyline is quite unique and I’m a little afraid someone will steal it. I will tell you it has:
Vampires
A Successful Woman
and Humor
Have you read any funny vampire stories? I hope you’ll like this one. I expect it to be done spring or summer 2012.
WIP-2
Working title – Attention Students: The Homecoming Queen is Dead.
Ha!! Did that get your attention? It is my first attempt at young adult.
More soon.
WIP-3
Working title: Touched
This one is this first in a series. I love the TV show, Ghost Hunters and wanted to create a sexy book about paranormal investigators. Touched will introduce the characters and set up some great (I hope) sexual tension.
I adore people with tattoos and find that incredibly sexy. The two main characters, Shelby and Nate will be well inked.
Here is a rough blurb: Shelby Church communicates with the dead, knows their secrets, but only when she’s touched. Normally not a problem for the reclusive graphic designer, but her uncle has asked her to fill in on his paranormal investigation team. Shelby tells herself… she can handle it. It’s only one night. It doesn’t take long for things to fall apart. The ghosts know she’s there and want to be heard.
Did I mention a hot guy? Oh yeah. Nate. He has issues of his own – recent events he’d like to forget and a childhood he can’t remember.
An an excerpt: That made me look at him. Nate held my gaze for a moment. I should have said something, but my tongue was stuck to the roof of my mouth. I couldn’t stop staring at his eyes. God those eyes – dark beyond belief. I wanted to get within inches of his face to see if I could detect what color they were. But if his face were that close, his body would be too, and then I’d want to touch him.
Anticipated release date – Spring or summer 2012.
~ * ~
Most of my work tend to be novellas, stories that are less than 50,000 words or around 10 chapters. I find these types of stories fun to create. Who knows, something in this WIP pile may end up longer.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tattoo I consider the least bit sexy. I have nothing against people decorating their bodies (or making statements thereby), but invariably tattoos make me cringe.
What??!!
I have no idea why I find them sexy. I just do.

Understandable. I have no idea why I find them distasteful. Although part of it could have something to do with upbringing. When I was a kid tattoos were something sailors and low-lifes and people in carnival sideshows had. Words like deface and defile spring to mind. Also pain. Also there’s the idea of a brand–those poor little calves getting their tender hides seared. Ouch! I also like natural beauty, although I see nothing wrong with cosmetics or dental work, shaving, or the occasional haircut. Finally I don’t like the irrevocability of tattoos, or though that may be a thing of the past–I don’t know.
Yes, I agree that some tattoos are not so pleasant. I wonder what the nursing homes will look like decades from now.
I see tattoos as art. Some (many) are beautifully done. I’m sure if I were twenty years younger I would have a few.
And maroon hair.
